Workers from Patriot were back on Tuesday to do some additilonal wiring on the carrier rails and haven't been back since then.  Don't know if anyone is showing up tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we've finished installing the acoustic foam in Range 1 and additional insulation in the ceiling above the shooting stalls.  Most of the soundboard is up in ranges 2 & 3 with just some panels to do on the sidewalls and the front wall.

The Virtual Realtiy Room is 95% done; just have to add some trim and epoxy paint the floor which should be finished tomorrow.

Next Bushmasters Team shoot is this Saturday, March 5th.

First the good news:  We had our first official Bushmasters Team Shoot last Saturday night.  Between regular members and some new guests, we had 10 shooters having a good time followed by pizza, beer and cake!

As far as the range goes, not much was done over the past few weeks so we informed Patriot that we were filing legal action.  So, what happens, 5 guys show up today and start wiring up the target systems.  We already know that we are going to have to finish the bullet traps in 3 & 4 but if they get all the carriers and controls installed in ranges 1-2-3 then we can possibly get open in two to three weeks.

I'm wondering if anyone will show up from Patriot tomorrow to continue the work.

Range Update

The traps and plates for Range 2 are complete. Some finishng touches tomorrow, Friday.

Some progress is better than none.  Still need control modules and 3 partitions in #1 and carriers and modules in #2.

I deleted the last post which was not done by me.  It had a link containing a virus. Any email from me as agentt845 is also infected and not sent by me.

So, how did everyone fare during the Great Blizzard of 2011 ?  I' ve survived 4 out of the top 5 myself. 

Got to the range Tuesday morning and opted to stay rather than take a chance driving home.  Went prepared with my 'overnight' bag' and made sure the kitchen was stocked.  Was not too shocked Wednesday morning to find a 6 foot snow drift blocking the front door! Side exit was also blocked by snow and the only way out was thru the two single rear doors.  Wasn't going anywhere anyway as the snow was piled about 4 feet high from the street to about the midpoint of the building.

The Rescue Team (Barry and Stan) arrived Thursday morning and they managed to get to the rear doors traversing the neighbor's lot and then down the hill to our building.

We managed to get a hold of a guy with a front loader who dug out our lot ( $600 ! ) and Stan somehow managed to shovel his way from the driveway to the front door.  The man is amazing !!  

So I was able to actually get out with my van and made a run for some supplies.   Found out that even though I could get home there was no way I could park as our drive was snowed over.  So stayed again last night along with Stan.

Everyone made it in this morning and I finally got back home this evening.  All in all, it was an adventure.

Now for range news:  unfortunately not much has been accomplished in the last few weeks.  Some deflector plates were installed today on some of the traps and 7 target carriers were delivered which are supposed to be installed tomorrow.  And Nicor actually showed up and installed the new gas meter needed to supply all of the new heating units. Would have been easier if they had showed up a week ago as first scheduled.  And of course,  three units are lit but not working properly so they will have to checked out on Monday.

Here's hoping for some progress next week so I'll have something to post about.
